Ekene Onyeagba Profile

Precision Nutrition Advisory
Chief Executive Officer

Ekene Onyeagba is a Sustainable Food Systems and Business Management Expert with a passion for solving big problems—like ending hidden hunger (micronutrient deficiencies) and boosting food quality across Africa and beyond. With an Executive MBA from the prestigious Edinburgh Business School, United Kingdom and a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Ekene combines science, strategy, and a whole lot of heart to make food systems smarter, safer, and more equitable. He also brings a wealth of complementary expertise through international certifications in leadership, strategy, economics, organisational systems, project management, and health and safety—equipping him with the multidimensional perspective needed to lead complex food system transformations.

From leading Nigeria’s first-ever fortified rice production with the United Nations World Food Programme to improving national food standards in countries like India and Tanzania, Ekene’s work has directly improved the lives of children, women, and vulnerable communities. He’s worked with funders like the Gates Foundation, USAID, the Dutch Government and the Rockefeller Foundation, and helped ensure the foods we eat actually nourish us. He’s also a big believer in data and evidence—whether it’s helping laboratories across Nigeria get ISO-certified or optimizing the country’s food composition database through his newest venture, Precision Nutrition Advisory.

But Ekene isn’t all spreadsheets and strategy decks. He brings infectious energy to every room, whether he’s mentoring young professionals, hosting a lunch-and-learn, or deep-diving into a postharvest loss challenge with value chain actors. Outside of work, you’ll probably catch him playing chess, billiards, or football—or dreaming up his next bold idea to transform food systems across Africa.
