We are PNA

Precision Nutrition Advisory (PNA) is a public health-focused consultancy committed to advancing evidence-based, personalized nutrition strategies across Africa and beyond. Rooted in science, innovation, and equity, PNA aims to close critical nutrition gaps through precision interventions that are culturally relevant, data-driven, and sustainable. Over the next five years, PNA will implement a multi-phased strategy centered on five core pillars: scientific excellence, digital innovation, strategic partnerships, capacity strengthening, and impact at scale. Our work is driven by the understanding that population-level differences in biomarkers, dietary patterns, genetics, and environmental exposures require localized nutrition solutions and policy advocacy.

Why we do what we do

Mission and Vision
PNA delivers evidence-based precision nutrition solutions that empower communities especially in low- and middle-income regions through innovative research, digital tools, and strategic partnerships to improve public health. We envision a future where personalized nutrition is accessible to all, fostering optimal health and resilient, equitable food systems worldwide.

Driving Nutrition for a Healthier Future

At PNA, we’re revolutionizing nutrition through science-driven, personalized strategies that fight hunger, prevent disease, and promote well-being. From tackling inequalities to supporting climate-conscious food systems, our precision nutrition approach aligns with global goals for sustainable health.

SDG 1– Zero Hunger

PNA’s work in addressing micronutrient deficiencies, improving food fortification strategies, and developing targeted nutrition interventions is central to reducing hunger and malnutrition. By identifying population-specific nutritional needs and tailoring interventions accordingly, PNA contributes to achieving food security and improved nutrition for all.

SDG 2 – Good Health and Well-Being

Tailoring nutritional recommendations based on genetic, environmental, and socio-economic factors helps reduce the burden of diet-related noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and obesity. Precision nutrition strategies enhance preventive care, promote well-being, and ultimately support healthier lives.

SDG 3– Reduced Inequalities

By focusing on at-risk populations and ensuring that precision nutrition approaches are accessible and affordable, PNA can help reduce health disparities both within Nigeria and across Africa. Targeted interventions address the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities, supporting equitable access to nutrition and health resources.

SDG 4 – Responsible Consumption and Production

Improving food composition databases and promoting the use of AI-driven solutions for nutrition monitoring support sustainable food systems. PNA’s approach encourages responsible consumption patterns and supports policies that foster sustainable production practices, ultimately minimizing food waste and environmental impact.

SDG 5 – Climate Action

Sustainable nutrition strategies must account for environmental impacts, from food production to waste management. By integrating sustainable practices and advocating for policies that mitigate climate change effects on food systems, PNA contributes to a resilient and environmentally conscious nutritional framework.

SDG 6 – Partnerships for the Goals:

Underscores the critical need for robust, multi-stakeholder alliances to mobilize resources, share expertise, and drive collaborative action. For PNA, this means forging strategic partnerships with government agencies, research institutions, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders to co-develop innovative precision nutrition interventions that are scalable, sustainable, and tailored to local contexts. By aligning efforts with this goal, PNA aims to facilitate policy advocacy, capacity building, and resource sharing that not only support improved nutritional outcomes in low- and middle-income countries but also contribute to a more resilient, equitable global food ecosystem.
